Texting Through Churchteams

Tired of having your emails ignored ? Did you know that you can quickly and easily send a text message to every member in your group through Churchteams?

Last weekend, we had to change our meeting location 30 min prior to the meeting. The Challenge: How do we quickly notify all our members, most of whom where still in church service? The Solution: Mass text messaging through Churchteams!

To send a text message to all your members, log into Churchteams, and select your group using the Browse Connect Groups option. Scrolling to the bottom of your list of group members, you will see several hyperlinks. Select the link that says, "Text Message the Group." Simple, huh? Note: Churchteams lets you know how many members are currently registered to receive text messages. Churchteams will only send a text message if your member has included his/her mobile telephone number AND the name of his/her mobile carrier. Without both pieces of information entered, a member cannot receive texts through Churchteams. In reviewing your list of members, if you see that the member's mobile number is "bold", then that member has supplied his/her carrier information and is ready to receive text messages from Churchteams.

So, encourage your members to complete this information in their profile so they may be update with important class information via text. Congratulations. One of your leadership communication tasks has just gotten WAY easier!
